About
Calderion is an industrial and technology venture capital fund launched by Audacia in November 2025, dedicated to "clean molecules": low-carbon hydrogen, CO₂ capture and synthetic fuels, for uses that electrification can't cover (heavy industry, maritime and air transport). It is led by its founding partners Vincent Brillault and Olivier de Panafieu, managing director of Audacia. The fund is targeting €150M and around twenty-five portfolio companies; it invests at seed and Series A, with initial checks of €0.3M to €2M, three-quarters of them in Europe. In France, Calderion funded Khimod's €23M Series A (reactor-exchangers for e-methanol and e-kerosene), Geolinks' seed round (passive seismic for natural hydrogen and CO₂ storage) and Mantle8's €31M Series A, a company exploring natural hydrogen. Abroad, it holds positions in Spain's H2SITE and the US-based Mitico, both first backed by Exergon, as well as Germany's Graforce and the UK's WASE. For a founder in hydrogen or carbon capture, it is a specialist with an industrial DNA.
