What this page covers
For each unicorn: the valuation announced at the latest known round and its currency, the year it joined the club, sector, city, number of rounds tracked since 2020 and the funds on its cap table. A ranking of the most active funds completes the list.
What counts as a unicorn
A French-founded company whose valuation has passed one billion at least once. The title sticks: a company whose valuation has since fallen stays on the list, with a note saying so. Status is curated by hand, never inferred from the amount raised.
About the figures
Valuations are given in their original currency, with no conversion and no total: adding euros to dollars would mean nothing. Amounts raised only cover rounds from 2020 onwards, the period our database covers: for older companies this is a minimum, not a total.
