About
Hexa is not a traditional VC fund but a Startup Studio (or "Venture Builder") turned "Meta-Studio." Founded in 2011, they pioneered the model in Europe: they don't just invest in startups, they invent them from scratch, build the product, and recruit co-founders to run them. Recently, Hexa has significantly expanded its model by launching Hexa Scale, a "Tech Private Equity" arm. This new activity targets profitable, bootstrapped SMBs (software/SaaS) that have reached a plateau. Unlike the studio (which creates from 0 to 1), Hexa Scale acquires majority stakes in existing companies to act as a "late co-founder" and re-accelerate their growth.
