Née en 2005 sous le nom BlogMusik puis lancée sous la marque Deezer en 2007 par Daniel Marhely et Jonathan Benassaya, la société a renoncé à son introduction en Bourse en octobre 2015 faute d'ordres suffisants, avant d'être finalement cotée sur Euronext Paris le 5 juillet 2022 à la suite de son rapprochement avec le SPAC I2PO.
