Xplore is the venture capital brand of Épopée Gestion, an independent management company created in Brest in 2020 by Ronan Le Moal and Charles Cabillic. It extends West Web Valley, the Brest-based accelerator launched in 2012: Épopée took over the management of the first West Web Valley fund in 2020, then launched a second one, and both became Xplore I and Xplore II, with an investment capacity of €80M. The fund invests in seed and Series A, with initial check sizes from €200,000 to €2M and up to €4M per company, primarily along the Atlantic Arc, from Brittany to Nouvelle-Aquitaine, from Brest, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Paris. Its focus areas: fintech and insurance, agritech and food, logistics, health, aeronautics, maritime, real estate, and industry. The portfolio includes Shopopop, Mr Suricate, Pony, Qovoltis, Deski, Stirweld, Keysom, Seederal, and Sunlib. For a founder from the West in seed stage, it is one of the most active regional funds.
