About
Verve Ventures is a Swiss venture capital firm founded in 2010 in Zurich by Steffen Wagner and Lukas Weber under the name investiere, rebranded in 2021. Its model is syndication: it selects young European technology and life sciences companies, then offers each round to a community of qualified private investors, family offices, and pension funds, who invest on a deal-by-deal basis alongside it; it has complemented this setup with a first fund, closed at 58 M CHF. Holding a securities house license from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, it invests from 1 to 5 M€ as an initial check and claimed to have financed over 100 companies by 2021. The database lists about twenty of its rounds in France since 2020: FineHeart, Pathoquest, Therapixel, Groover, Artifakt, Helios, Veesion (Series A and B), Orakl Oncology, C12, Poppins, Otoqi, Kyron.bio, and NcodiN. For a French deeptech or health company, it is a way to open its round to a wide circle of Swiss and European private investors, gathered behind a single point of contact.
