About
Sud Mer Invest is the maritime and water fund of Banque Populaire du Sud, created in 2021 in Sète and 100% owned by the bank. GO Capital acts as the management delegate. Endowed with €7M since 2025, with a target of €10M by 2030, it funds startups and SMEs in Occitanie and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur through equity and quasi-equity, via minority stakes. The published check sizes range from €0.15M to €0.5M. Its scope covers seed, development, and transmission, with an expansion in 2025 to water economies, treatment, and recycling. Opsealog, a software publisher for maritime fleet performance, welcomed the fund in January 2026 during a management buyout, alongside Impact Océan Capital. The portfolio also includes IADYS, which develops pollution-cleaning robots, NepTech, a low-carbon shipbuilder, AquaTech Innovation, Ecocean, BuyCo, and Diodon. For a Mediterranean company in the blue economy or water technologies, the fund provides regional capital backed by a banking network.
