About

Salesforce Ventures is the investment arm of Salesforce, established in 2009 in San Francisco, and one of the most active corporate VCs in the world for enterprise software. The capital comes from the group's balance sheet, in an evergreen format: no vintage, no fund end, and the ability to support a company over ten years. Over $6 billion deployed since 2009, 700 companies funded, 35 IPOs, and more than 190 exits as of July 31, 2026, with 36 investors in San Francisco, London, New York, and Tokyo. Check sizes range from less than $5 million in seed to over $50 million in growth, across five theses: generative AI, data and infrastructure, security, enterprise applications, energy, and space. The $1 billion AI fund opened in 2023 was fully deployed by early 2026 across 35 companies, alongside Anthropic, Databricks, Snowflake, Wiz, and Vercel. France is one of the European markets where it is most engaged: over $350 million invested according to the group (June 2026) and a continuous presence since 2015 in about twenty rounds, including OpenDataSoft, Finalcad, Akeneo, Dolmen, Odaseva, Algolia, and OpenClassrooms. The fund led Hugging Face's Series D ($216 million in 2023) and follows Mistral AI from Series A in 2023 to Series D in 2026. For a B2B founder in data, security, or AI selling to large accounts, the interest goes beyond funding: Salesforce's distribution channel and customer base are a lever that no financial investor can replicate.
