About

Saint-Étienne Business Angels 42 is a local business angel club, established as an association in May 2023 in Saint-Étienne to fund young companies in the Loire and Haute-Loire, and a member of France Angels since October 2024. Chaired by Gaëlle Rousseau, with Stéphane Palais as general secretary and Vincent Propice as treasurer, it was founded notably by Guillaume Beyens, Eric Digonnet, Florian Garnier, and Nicolas Faure. Its members invest in seed and acceleration stages, without sector exclusivity, and work with local financing players, including UI Investissement, Crédit Agricole Loire Haute-Loire, and Saint-Étienne Métropole. By October 2024, the club had received 37 projects, 12 of which were presented to the committee. In February 2025, it participated in the €2.8M Series A of The QA Company, a Saint-Étienne-based publisher of QAnswer, a sovereign generative artificial intelligence solution, alongside Bpifrance, UI Investissement, and Crédit Agricole Loire Haute-Loire.
