About

Phoenix Court is the London-based firm of Robin and Saul Klein, and one of the few European managers to cover the entire lifecycle of a company with distinct funds that hand off to each other: LocalGlobe for pre-seed and seed, Latitude from Series B to Series C, without leading rounds, Solar for scaleups up to IPO, and Basecamp, a fund of funds for emerging seed managers. The name dates back to 2022, when LocalGlobe became the seed brand of a group raising $500M across four vehicles. A rare structure: the Phoenix Court Works foundation, rooted in the Somers Town neighborhood in King’s Cross, receives 10% of the profits and 2% of the carried interest from the funds. 293 companies funded, including Wise, Monzo, Raspberry Pi, Oxford Nanopore, Granola, and Melio, acquired by Xero in 2025. In France, the firm has been investing for over fifteen years without an office or dedicated partner, and often follows its companies from one fund to another: Mistral AI, in the capital since the 2023 seed, saw Latitude enter in Series B and then Solar in Series D. Finary, Sorare, and Apollo Generators entered directly through Latitude. For a founder, the interest is in keeping the same contact from the first check to the late-stage round. Caveat: several historical partners left in 2025 and 2026.
