About
Mindstone is the Paris-based single family office of Christophe Eberlé, an actuary who founded Optimind (risk management consulting) in 2000, grew it to 350 employees, opened it to Ardian in 2019, and then sold it to Accenture in 2023. The family holding has existed since 2015 and was structured into a family office in 2024, with a private equity arm alongside real estate and financial assets. The capital is 100% owned, so there is no imposed exit horizon. The private equity, led by Julie Smithwhite (formerly of Perwyn and BOLD, L'Oréal's fund), invests checks of €5 to €15 million, either in majority or minority stakes, alone or in co-investment, in profitable French and European companies with over €5 million in revenue, without a sectoral thesis. Three operations since 2025: the LBOs of Crème de la Crème and Qualitadd (since merged with three other publishers into the Iskera group), and Les Petits Culottés. Before that, a seed pocket (€100K to €1M), now fully deployed, funded 13 companies, including Flitter, Mirabelle, Dylogy, Ziwig, and Jay & Joy. For a founder, this is no longer a seed investor: it's a shareholder for a profitable company reorganizing its capital or preparing acquisitions, backed by an entrepreneur who has himself gone through build-up and exit.
