About
Crédit Mutuel Equity is the private equity arm of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, based in Paris, with origins dating back to IPO, created in Nantes in 1980. Its current structure results from the merger of CIC Finance, Banque de Vizille, and IPO in 2011. It invests the bank group's own funds, without a fund deadline imposing an exit. By the end of 2025, it has €4.6 billion in equity and supports 313 companies. Its core focus is minority growth capital and transmission, with check sizes ranging from €5 to €150 million. Eight offices in France and teams in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and Canada ensure local presence. Venture capital is notably handled by its subsidiary Crédit Mutuel Innovation. Devialet, a specialist in audio technologies, has been supported since 2016. The tech portfolio also includes Telelogos, a digital signage software publisher, Axess Groupe, in digital services, and ACD Groupe, a publisher for accountants, sold to TeamSystem in 2026. In Canada, Paystone exemplifies its minority investment in payments and software.
