About
BNP Paribas Développement is the equity investment subsidiary of BNP Paribas, active for 38 years with €2.1 billion invested in 594 participations. Unlike a traditional CVC, it does not pursue any strategic agenda in favor of the parent bank: no imposed commercial synergies, no obligation to work with BNP Paribas. The objective is purely financial, which makes it a more neutral partner than its affiliation with the group might suggest. Structured as an evergreen fund (patient capital, without a fixed liquidity cycle), it invests exclusively in minority stakes from Venture (seed, Series A) to growth, with ticket sizes ranging from €2 million to €15 million. For a founder, it offers the strength and network of a large global banking group, without the constraints of a traditional CVC.
