Otium Capital is the Family Office of Pierre-Edouard Stérin (founder of Smartbox). It is a major player in the French ecosystem, functioning as an "Evergreen" investment holding company: unlike a traditional fund, it invests its own capital (dividends from Smartbox and exits) and has no time limit to sell its shares. Otium is unique because it acts as a "Fund of Funds" and a "Company Builder." It has incubated several independent management teams that started as internal divisions before spinning off (e.g., Frst for Seed, Eutopia for Consumer, and currently Resonance for Venture). Otium also invests directly in "Capital Development" and "Buy & Build" strategies in traditional sectors (Industry, Leisure).
