La France Mutualiste is not a traditional "Private Equity Fund" but a major Institutional Investor (LP). It is a historic mutual insurance company (originally created for veterans) that manages the savings of its members. Recently (2024), it joined forces with the Malakoff Humanis group to become the spearhead of their "Individual Savings" division. While they are famous for their massive Real Estate portfolio, they are an active Limited Partner (LP) in Private Equity, investing in third-party funds to diversify their assets. They also make select Direct Investments in "Impact" and "Silver Economy" startups that align with their mutualist values.
